Dr. Don Fitz-Ritson, B.A.(Hon.)D.C.,FCCRS(C)
Director/Chiropractor
Dr. Fitz-Ritson has been practicing for over 25 years and is also
the Director of the Advanced Therapeutic Centre. He has been working
with Lasers for over 20 years and through his research developed
new methods of dealing effectively with acute and chronic musculo-skeletal
pain conditions. This involves combining the healing effects of
the Laser with gentle, but specific exercises to restore function
and rehabilitate the injured area.
Dr. Fitz-Ritson is an Assistant Professor at the Canadian Memorial
Chiropractic College. He was President of the Posture Research Institute,
Chairman of the Chiropractic Sciences Department and taught for
10 years at the College. He has published seventeen scientific papers
and three definitive chapters in texts on the assessment, treatment
and rehabilitation of spinal trauma. He has presented research papers
at international conferences in Canada, United States and England,
and has lectured in Europe, England, United States, Canada, Hawaii
and the West Indies.
Dr. Fitz-Ritson is a member of the Research Review Committee for
the Canadian Chiropractic Rehabilitation Specialists and continues
to improve methods for treating pain conditions.

Dr. Stephanie Kim,

Chiropractor and Acupuncturist
Dr. Stephanie Kim is a summa cum laude graduate from the National
University of Health Sciences in Chicago with a Doctor of Chiropractic
degree. She also holds an honours undergraduate degree in Pharmacology
at the University of Toronto. Her studies further include acupuncture
training at the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine
in China.
Dr. Kim has been with Advanced Therapeutic Centre since 2002. At
Advanced Therapeutic Centre, her focus has been on treatment of
chronic pain patients by combining her expertise in chiropractic,
laser therapy,
rehabilitation and laser acupuncture. She is also working with an
independent assessment company to perform both in-home and functional
assessment for chronic disability patients.

- Certified Active Release Techniques Provider since 2003 - certified in Nerve Entrapment Release, Upper Extremity, Lower Extremity, and Spine
- Bachelor of Kinesiology (Honours) from McMaster University in 2000
- Certified Golf Biomechanics Therapist since 2005
- Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist since 1999
TECHNIQUES USED:
- Low force chiropractic manipulation/mobilization used to increase motion in fixated joints
- Active Release Techniques: patented soft tissue technique designed to free up adhesions in muscles and joints, as well as nerve entrapments. It improves circulation in hypoxic (low oxygenated) tissue, thus affecting joint and muscle function
- Acupuncture : Use of fine needles to penetrate directly into affected tissue to reduce pain and improve function. Specific acupuncture points from traditional Chinese medicine are used as well.
- Laser therapy and laser acupuncture: non-invasive, no pain, no needles!!!
